I went HB

I went HB. The secretary from the academy really had it this time. It's my student's last day at the academy and I thought maybe I can make her just do what she loved. DRAWING. It's quite a challenge for teachers to keep the students motivated especially the one I'm handling because she's only ten years old and her class starts from 1:00pm to 3:00pm with me. So I thought maybe I can use drawing as a strategy to keep her interested in my class. So every lesson I allow her to draw having the day's lesson as the theme for her drawing and letting her right and essay, paragraph, sentence or a letter because that sort of allow her to express herself and still learn. Besides, the subject is all about conversational English so I don't see the point why I have to be so strict about the rules. We went to the counter to ask for paper and crayons and I also ask for extra paper for my evaluation, when she commented " drawing na naman?" (drawing again?).

Why? What's wrong with drawing? Well, it's not just drawing. It's also composition and the lesson. Why? What's wrong with drawing? I asked in a tone of voice that gave away my emotion.( ggRRrrr...pissed)

hey

One of my co-teachers ask me: hey, teacher michelle! I did some research with Yuri ( a student that we both handle) about her homework. You might want to add something. Question is "How did you know God?".

Now, don't get me wrong. This teacher I'm talking about is a real charmer. She's nice and all and I kind of trusted her when it comes to teaching English. However, when upon checking the said homework, I was dissappointed that the teacher was not able to answer the question. So, again I asked Yuri on how did she knew God? Oh! and well, surprise! She was just able to answer the question exactly what it was aking.

Going back to the teacher's work. I made some corrections. The student was curious on why I made some corrections and ask: she's wrong? I somehow felt guilty for making the corrections that actually lessens the confidence of the student to the teacher but I had no choice. I had to. I care about my student more so I just said : well, maybe teacher just overlooked some things but I'm sure she knows what she's doing. I answered.

You see, these kids are actually smart. They have a lot of ideas inside their mind. They just have some challenges on expressing what they think.

The common problem with them is that they are so rule conscious that

Ayoko ng Pagbabago!!!

ang batang reactionary

And the winner is...

"Now, that ! is b-e-a-u-t-y pageantish"

And the winner is Noynoy??!! And the winner is Binay??!!

Yes, maybe they already are the winners. I haven't been watching the news about it. I remember on the election day, my friend, asked

Did you vote? yeah.
President? no one.
Vice? no one.
Huh? Well I only voted for Sen. Defensor- Santiago and for party list GABRIELA.

What?
Oh yeah as if your vote counts.

That's fine. My vote counts, yes and my " not voting" also does. I have the right to vote, yes and I have the right to " not vote". Suffrage!

I did not vote for a president and a vice-president and all the rest except for one senator, because I was not impressed by what they have to offer and whatever it is they promised to do and/or not to do.

to be continued...
